Simple Revew: Avene Trixera Emollient Lotion

For the longest time it's my dream to find a body lotion that doesn't feel sticky but gives me all nourishing and moisturizing that I needed as my skin tends to be so dry. I've tried different kinds of lotion but i always end up not finishing them.

Anyway today I'll give you a simple review on Avene's Trixera  Baume Emollient. this lotion was recommeneded by a good friend Pao and because I know her being so picky on things so I decided to give it a try.

Ultra-rich, emollient cream severely dry, atopic skin
Avène TriXéra+ Selectiose Emollient Balm is an ultra-rich, emollient cream for severely dry, atopic skin conditions that nourishes, restores the skin barrier, soothes irritation and reduces skin hypersensitivity. Emollient balm is the sister product to the Emollient Cream, but is specifically for severely dry skin.

BENEFITS:
  • Sélectiose reduces skin hypersensitivity and irritation and controls skin inflammation response
  • Relieves itching
  • Restores the skin’s barrier
  • Prevents moisture loss and soothes irritation
  • Suitable for infants, children and adults
  • Fragrance-free, paraben-free
  • Avène Thermal spring water to soothe and soften skin
  • Hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic
How to Use: Apply once or twice daily on the very dry areas of the face and body.

This is very interesting product as it is nt just your ordinary lotion. you can use it as face moisturizer too.

I love the it's paraben free.

Parabens are preservatives that are found in numerous household products, especially beauty products, including shampoo, sunscreen, lotion and makeup. Manufacturers use parabens for their preservative and antimicrobial benefits. When you use beauty products that contain parabens, they absorb into your body through your skin. The parabens wash down the drain when you bathe and end up in the water supply, eventually finding their way into your drinking water and into fish and other aquatic life.

Also For most people with normal skin, parabens are non-irritating. However, the four most common parabens—methylparaben, ethylparaben, propylparaben and butylparaben—can cause an allergic reaction called contact dermatitis and other skin irritations in people with certain sensitive skin conditions such as Rosacea.

This is the reason why as much as possible I was trying to avoid any beauty product with   paraben. (but that's just me)

Anyway, going back to my review.

For the Price I find it more expensive SGD$ 31.00 x 33= Php 1,023 /200ml tube. See what I mean? But hey! it' has 200ml in it so surely one tube will last a long time. And besides Pao says I only need a small amount to put on body so I though yeah maybe that price is  alright.

At first application I find this product a wee bit sticky specially I put a lot on my dry skin. Yes I did put a thick layer  especially on the part of my body that I really feel dry or problem areas as we call it and that's my arms and lower leg to be very particular. But later on I noticed that it was quickly absorbed by my skin and I feel my skin more moisturized and supple which I think was great.

Pao says I have to give it about 3days before I can see the some results so I did waited for 3days. And true enough it actually worked. My arm looks better no more gaspang feeling. Happy Dance!!!

Will I purchase it again. Yes ! but I guess not too soon.
