loving LAKA Nail Polish from Israel!

Last week when 2 of my good friends "Pao and Keng"  came to Hong Kong, they felt like kids left alone.

Both went to

Ocean Park

Disneyland

and Macau

While  I was  stuck Macdonnell Road
doing some packing for our relocation to Philippines. he he he!

Nothing to worry though because every other day we see one another for a shopping spree, lunch and dine.

Yung Kee in Central

Arirang Times Square

Dim Sum at Metropol Admiralty

Cafe Deco at the Peak

Roaming with these 2 girls  around HK  without an itinerary was so dangerous. Last Thursday we went to LCX in Ocean terminal to see if I could find Fossil shop to get the bag that I was eyeing for. But we found out that the shop was closed down and the only one open was the shop in SHATIN in the new territories.  Geez! No way, I'm going there! ha ha ha!

Anyway, instead of sulking to my disappointment, the girls found other things to make ourselves busy. Bought Ice watch for Venny and bought

Tony Moly egg pore minimizer which we find the container so amusing.

And then we came across

Laka is a nail polish brand from Israel. That's the only thing we learned about this product.

Yes, the panaflex said it right I've never seen as many pinks

OMG!!!!

Look at the wide range of n/p's they have!

Seeing these colorful nail polishes made me and Paos' heart go "Thug! dug!" ha ha ha!

All we can say is Wow! Wow! Wow!

We started pointing and grasped "I want this and that" but our budget only says YES to a few.

I haven't swatched these babies at first because I was busy applying MAC Nail Trend on my nails.

Then  Pao told me to try out my LAKA hauls ASAP for they were so easy to apply.

And so I did

LAKA  81 is a deep blue green color

dupe to OPIs' Ski Til We Drop

LAKA 84 is described as green tea by the SA

Sorry can't find a dupe for this one. The nearest I could find is  Etude House GR 605

LAKA 95 is  dupe to

ORLY Mirror Mirror

LAKA 95

is dupe to MUSE Illamasqua

LAKA 86 gray

Yes! Pao was right on the spot!
These nail polishes  were easy to apply. You only need one or two coats to achieve the same color as the ones in the bottle. Thumbs up!

I think I'll be getting more of these babies when I get back to HK in October.

am in love with MAC NAIL TREND F/W 2010!

Got these babies last Sept. 9 and  I was too busy for last weeks' packing and moving  that I was only able to swatch these super luscious colors only Yesterday.

Mistress of the art of the sophisticated nail, Jil Soon was inspired this season by the sensual pleasure of Imperial China. A collection of hues and ravishing combinations, opaque and rich with pearl essences for a subtle dimension.

So far I would say this are truly rich hues for fall. They are vibrant that sometimes you'll think you wont be able to pull the colors off but NO they are wearable on any occasion depending on your mood. The pearl essences is like a shy cat that it only shows depending on the lighting.

Here are the swatches I made in a hurry. Bear with me I'm not too good in doing this as usual!

EARTHLY HARMONY
I fell in love with Earthly Meadow for it being in a nude tone

MING BLUE- reminds me of my true blue jeans! love it to bits!

IMPERIAL FLOWER
Loving the orange color that really jumps out of me
and scares the hell out of my hubby! ha ha ha!

CONCUBINE
deep red just by looking at it I'm imagining myself sporting this on halloween!
 FIERCE!

JADE DRAGON
reminds me of the color of a green healthy moss attached to a moist rock

RAIN OF FLOWERS
super love rain flower as it looks so clean on my nails and the color pops out like freshly picked aubergine with specks on it. This color is my all time fave!

How about you? Were you also in love with MAC Nail Trend?

Love Rings!

Remember when I accidentally got Froggy  from Aldo few months ago?

Today, I remember that Froggy must be lonely  and felt alone without someone to join him. So I went out to hunt  him a new companion.

I found this gecko from Aldo. And I name him "Pedro the Gecko"

He's a keeper isn't he?

Another one is Aldo double strap Owl watch.
 Now named "Olie"!

I couldn't find more so I headed to my favorite fashion accessory store and got some more unique pieces!

A double ring

and two beautiful shinny pendant rings!

I went back to the apartment so happy knowing that Froggy will no longer be lonely.

Hmmm... Lemme see with this pic?  I think I need to do my nails tonight too!

Chanel Rouge Allure Lacquer Quick post of swatches!

Swatches
Rouge Allure Lacque
1st Row: 75 Ming, 78 Phoenix and 76 Dragon
2nd Row: Confidentelle, Emotive,  Excessive,  Insolente

Sorry 3rd row I can't remember their names as I wasn't too interested in them.

Me wearing Chanel Soho Blush & highlighter  and  Chanel Allure Lacquer Dragon which reminds me of the Limited Edition  MAC Couture no. 5

Also got the Nail polishes

Saw Steet for the first time through Polish Police post and instantly I fell in love with it.

Strong is another polish that captured my attention. Love its deep red effect sometime you'll mistake the color as deep metallic purple. Intruiging!

And last but not the least Rose Insolent. I'm not a fan of pastel colors but this n/p just blends well on my tips.
