Simple Review: New Sleek True Color Lipsticks

Simple Review: MUA LIP BOOM by Make Up Academy Professional

You know how addicted I am to lipstick and I have about more than 60 lippie on my vanity and some on my bag and purse. ( hopefully hubby doesn't read this or else ha ha ha!) but this doesn't stop me from acquiring more of them as I'm a lippie kind of gal. I seldom put make up on but lipstick I've got to have it. 

In my bag I have about 2 or 3 lippie that I carry everyday. I was even able to be an impromptu make up artist  just by using some of the  lippies I have in my bag.  Talk about diskarte.  lol

 I was supposed to be a photographer on this shoot pero the Make up artist wasn't able to make it.
Okay enough of that bragging and let's go to our main issue here.

Today I'm going to give you MUA Lip Boom.

I've read some reviews about this stuff and some says Yay and some says Nay. Again the curiousity in me kicked in and ordered most the shades.

I haven't swatched all of them yet but I've already tried Doin Good on today( 2nd photo from L on the above). 

Gliding the stick on lips feels good. Application is neither thick nor heavy. It actually feels light and sometimes I don't feel like  I'm wearing a lipstick. Compared to some matte lippies that I have, this is really light.  Color is matte yes but the finish is like velvet matte on my lips. If  you guys tried Chanel RA velvet line Which we all love, that's the  kind of finish I got from it. Nice isn't it? 

 I drank from the glass there's just a little transfer of the lippie. I also don't have  retouch after eating lunch. Another Yay for that. 

Now for the Gloss. Well the gloss is not really my thing but since the lippie comes with it and I'm doing this review I might as well include it.  

The only downside of this product is  the shimmery lipgloss because I'm not really fond of shimmery lippie. So I don't think I'd be able to use them. Yes, this is just me being OC.

And also the gloss  has this tiny bit of buttery vanilla scent that I can smell during application.  But I'm not really bothered with that. So that's okay. The gloss for me is not too thick or sticky, yes I know you'd ask me something and the answer is  NO definitely not as thick and sticky  as MAC lip glass for sure. =))

Over all I would say I really like  this collection of MUA Lip Boom. (Except for the lipgloss.)

but with the  price of only Php 280.00 a pop. How can you say no to that, right?  =)

Sleek Make Up Swatches

All True Color lipstick are very pigmented. There's Sheen and Matte finish. Some with shimmers too. They are mostly bold b,right and beautiful! 

Yes, this Girl can't go out without a lipstick! =) 

Pros: 

Most colors could be worn from day to night

Packaging doesn't look cheap and very sturdy

No smell nor taste

Good formulation

Cheap for  only Php 400  locally

Cons.

All bright & bold

I wish they could come up with more nude colors

Matte formulation could be drying but could be mended by applying a lip balm first which is sometimes a hassle.

Recommend these colors to people who love bold colors and to the ones who would like to use just lipstick as their everyday make up. 

Will I buy again? Definitely, Yes. =))

Dreamed of Sleek Make Up

Heard about Sleek Make ups last July from my friend Digital Train Case and from then on I've been lemming on it. I watched some videos, read blog and looked at their site for how many nights.  Listing all the things I wanna try from this  brand. 

Sleek Make ups Mission 

 Sleek MakeUP is a colour cosmetics brand dedicated to providing a comprehensive make-up range for all women, especially those that are often under-represented by mainstream brands. 

 This is a good mission as not everyone can afford those high end cosmetics. And good idea to give other lassies to have a good quality make up not costing an arm or a leg. 

Upon reading all the entries on Sleek Make up website . I decided to  ordered online! ha ha ha! 

It's now in Hong kong waiting for my handsome beau to pick them up.=)

Then I got a chance to ask my friend from London to purchase some Sleek make up for me. I was so happy and got so excited that  I listed down a lot of items . ha ha ha! She said a friend of hers will be coming home soon so she'll just ask her to bring it down for me. weeeeee!!!!! 

I waited for  2 weeks and then my prayer was answered I got a message from UK friend that my Sleek make up has landed Manila! I'm over the moon!

Since I have a lot of them I think I'll have to do a part by part post about Sleek make up.

First off Sleek True Color Lipsticks!

The packaging:  It's an oval matte case. Most of the reviews says it's like Nars case in texture but this one doesn't look or feel rubbery at all. Size is just about 2inches that for me is handy if you only carry around small purse.

the colors are amazing you have a choice of matte and sheer. The pictures on the packaging is the same shade as the ones on the tube.

See those vibrant colors? Aren't they stunningly delish? ha!

MAC Lovelorn vs. Chanel Allure Rouge Super

People have been asking me if these two lippies are similar to each other. I'd say yes they are in a way cause they are both lustre pink. But I really cant tell the difference unless I take a swatch of both lippies.

Question: Is Mac lovelorn comparable to Chanel Rouge Allure Super?

Yes, but there's a little bit of difference aside of course from their respective brands and price. Super is darker pink lustre shade than MAC lovelorn. Super glides easier than Lovelorn which is a little bit sticky on my skin.

If asked if which between the two should I take? I'd go for the Super.

I found another Pink Lippie

Yes! As the title of this blog show I'm happy to announce to you that I found another Keeper. The New Revlon Color burst Collection.

I was actually looking for a deep pink lippie to match my pink bag. I first saw Fushia from this collection but sadly it didn't really match my bag. It has more of a blue undertone that makes my lips stand out too much. I think hubby will jump off the window when he sees this on me. hahahaha!

Then I scrolled at the next color which is Carnation. This I can say is a MATCH. The bright pink color is not shocking as I expected. It glides easily without any hassle, It's buildable, no scent at all and non drying. You can play from barely there pink to deep pink lip color color.

Hmmm.... the only downside maybe is the price. It's about Hk$ 98.00 a pop. But never the less I think it is a very good buy.
